Various municipalities of Pangasinan compete with each other by making their best float which they paraded in the first opening day of Pangasinan Founding Day Celebration passing through in front of the Capitol Building where Gov. Amado Espino, Jr. and the rest of other elected officials watched. Aside from the grand float parade depicting history of each participating town, the traditional street dancing competition followed immediately despite the scorching summer heat. The float of the town of Binmaley was adjudged for its being unique and beautiful and won the first price. Mabuhay ang Pangasinan now close to being Number 1 province in Norther Luzon under the leadership of Gov. Espino.
